Message from the Mayor

“Proud of the work accomplished to realize a fair and inclusive Montreal, we cannot stay silent in front of discrimination and vulnerability too often experienced by people living with HIV. On December 1st 2017, Montreal joined the Fast-Track City movement to end the epidemic, renewing the commitment to supporting our citizens in the fight against HIV/AIDS."

Community Leadership Messages

"The recognition of the diverse needs of our affected communities - in terms of systemic inequalities and discrimination against Indigenous, racialized, migrant, and LGBTQ+ people; as well as towards people living in poverty, homelessness, youth, and people in conflict with the law - is at the core of this project and the processes by which we engage with the HIV epidemic. Our communities are mobilized and we will work together with government institutions to make Montreal a city not only without AIDS, but also a city that upholds our human rights and values our contributions to society."
